Prodsuct Feature and Application


Zinc is the main alloy element in 7075. Adding magnesium to the alloy containing 3%-7.5% zinc can form MgZn2 with significant strengthening effect, which makes the heat treatment effect of the alloy far better than that of the binary alloy containing aluminum-zinc. The tensile strength can be further improved by increasing the content of zinc and magnesium in the alloy, but the ability to resist stress corrosion and spalling corrosion will decrease accordingly. Through heat treatment, very high strength properties can be achieved.

7075 materials are generally added with a small amount of copper, chromium, and other alloys, among which 7075-t651 aluminum alloy is especially superior. It is praised as the best aluminum alloy with high strength and far superior to any mild steel. The alloy also has good mechanical and anodic properties.
