Commonly used state of large diameter 6063 aluminum rods prodsucts
F state: free machining state. It is suitable for prodsucts that have no special requirements for work hardening and heat treatment conditions during molding process. The mechanical properties of the prodsuct are not specified.
O state: annealed state. It is suitable for obtaining the lowest strength processed prodsucts by full annealing.
O1 - The processed material holds for about the same time as the solid solution at about the same temperature and then slowly cools to a state at room temperature.
O2 - The state of the material after deformation treatment, which is intended to improve the formability of the material for superplastic processing (SPF);
The state of o3--- after homogenization.
H state: work hardening state. It is suitable for the prodsucts whose strength is increased by work hardening. The prodsucts can be subjected to additional heat treatment (or not) to reduce the strength after work hardening. (For marine alloys, such as 5083, 5383, 5456, 5059, the commonly used heat treatment states are H321 and H116)
W state: solid solution state. An unstable state, which is only applicable to alloys that are naturally aged at room temperature after solid solution treatment. The status code only indicates that the prodsuct is in the natural aging stage.
T state: suitable for heat treatment, after (or without) work hardening to achieve stable prodsucts. The T code must follow one or more Arabia figures. The first digit after the T represents the basic type of heat treatment (from 1 to 10), and the subsequent digits indicate variations in heat treatment details.
