2618 Open Die Aluminum Forgings
2618 is an Al-Cu heat treatable aluminum alloy with rodss, tubes, sheets, profiles, wiress and forgings. Cu and Mg improve the strength and hardness of the alloy, but affect the elongation, and have good stampability, weldability and corrosion resistance.
2618 alloys are used in aerospace structural components, mechanical components, cabinet housings, construction and transportation, die forgings and free forgings, pistons and aero-engine parts.

3.Prodsuct Feature and Application
Aluminium / Aluminum alloys have high ductility and corrosion resistance. At subzero temperatures, their strength can be increased. However, their strength can be reduced at high temperatures of about 200-250°C. Aluminium / Aluminum 2618 alloy is an age hardenable alloy containing magnesium and copper.
