Aluminum Alloy Weld Neck Flanges

Last Updated: 2023-04-27

Prodsucts Description

A weld neck flange (also known as a high-hub flange[1] and tapered hub flange) is a type of flange. There are two designs. The regular type is used with tubes. The long type is unsuitable for tubes and is used in the process plant. A weld neck flange consists of a circular fitting with a protruding rim around the circumference. Generally machined from a forging, these flanges are typically butt welded to a tube. The rim has a series of drilled holes that permit the flange to be affixed to another flange with bolts.

Prodsuct Parameter

Welding neck flanges mainly have higher stiffness and load-bearing capacity of neck flanges. Its purpose is to transfer the pressure of the tubeline, thereby reducing the Frankie high-stress concentration butt welding flange, also known as high neck flange, rigid, suitable for high pressure and temperature occasions. The main prodsuction processes are integral forging, forging, pressing, casting, rolling, and so on. The main prodsuction equipment is a lathe, drilling machine, CNC machine tools, and so on.

Prodsuct Application

Such flanges are suitable for use in hostile environments that have extremes of temperature, pressure, or other sources of stress. The resilience of this type of flange is achieved by sharing the environmental stress with the tube with which it is welded. This type of flange has been used successfully at pressures up to 5,000 psi.

Applications: Boiler pressure vessel, petroleum, chemical industry, shipbuilding, pharmaceutical, metallurgy, machinery, stamping elbow food, and other industries
