Prodsuct introdsuction
7075 aluminium alloy (AA7075) is an aluminium alloy, with zinc as the primary alloying element. It has excellent mechanical properties and exhibits good ductility, high strength, toughness and good resistance to fatigue. It is more susceptible to embrittlement than many other aluminium alloys because of microsegregation but has significantly better corrosion resistance than the 2000 alloys. It is one of the most commonly used aluminium alloys for highly stressed structural applications and has been extensively utilized in aircraft structural parts.
Chemical Composition
7075 aluminum alloy's composition roughly includes 5.6–6.1% zinc, 2.1–2.5% magnesium, 1.2–1.6% copper, and less than a half percent of silicon, iron, manganese, titanium, chromium, and other metals. It is prodsuced in many tempers, some of which are 7075-0, 7075-T6, 7075-T651.
Prodsuct Feature And Application
High Intensity. 7075 aluminum sheet is stronger than mild steel. After solution treatment, the plasticity is good, with high strength below 150℃ and excellent low-temperature strength.
Strong Stress Corrosion. The stress corrosion performance of the 7075 aluminum sheet is better than that of 7A04, especially in the temper of 7075-t651.
Good Heat Treatment Strengthening Effect. Zn is the main alloy element in the 7075 aluminum sheet. Mg is added to the alloy containing 3%-7.5% Zn so that the heat treatment strengthening effect of 7075 aluminum alloy is far better than that of Al-Zn binary alloy.
Other features. The plasticity under annealing and hardening conditions is slightly lower than 2A12 in the same state but slightly better than 7A04, etc.
