CHARACTERISTICS 

        2000 series aluminum alloy representatives 2024,2A16 (LY16), 2A02 (LY6). 2000 series aluminum is characterized by high hardness, of which the highest content of copper is the original, about 3-5%. 2000 series aluminum rods belonging to the aviation aluminum, is not commonly used in conventional industries.

2024 aluminum alloy is a kind of high strength duralumin that can not be strengthened by heat treatment. 2024 aluminum alloy spot weldability is good, with gas welding and argon arc welding tend to form intergranular cracking tendency; 2024 aluminum alloy cold work hardenability machinability is still good. Corrosion resistance is not high, often using anodizing and painting methods or surface coated aluminum layer to improve the anti-corrosion ability




APPLICATIONS 

          2014 grade: Used in demanding high strength and hardness (including high temperature) of the occasion. Aircraft Heavy Duty, Forgings, Plates and Extruded Materials, Wheels and Structural Components, Multi-Stage Rocket Fuel Tanks and Spacecraft Components, Truck Frames and Suspension Parts;

    

          2024 grade:Aircraft structures, rivets, missile components, truck wheels, propeller components and other structural components;

   

         2A11 grade:Medium-strength aircraft structural parts, propeller blades, vehicles and building structures. Medium strength bolts and rivets for aircraft;

   

         2A14 grade:Complex shapes of free forgings and forgings.
