5052 Aluminum Alloy Tube

Aluminum alloy tube is a kind of non-ferrous metal tube, refers to the use of pure aluminum or aluminum alloy by extrusion processing along its longitudinal hollow metal tube material.

Aluminum alloy is a kind of non-ferrous metal structural material widely used in industry. It has been widely used in aviation, aerospace, automobile, machinery manufacturing, ship and chemical industry. With the rapid development of industrial economy, the demand for aluminum alloy welded structural parts is increasing day by day, so that the welding research of aluminum alloy is also in-depth. At present, aluminum alloys are widely used alloys.

Aluminum alloy has low density, but high strength, approaching or exceeding high-quality steel, good plasticity, can be processed into various profiles, with excellent electrical conductivity, thermal conductivity and corrosion resistance, widely used in industry, the amount of use is second only to steel. Some aluminum alloys can be heat-treated to obtain good mechanical properties, physical properties and corrosion resistance. The hard aluminum alloy AI - Cu - Mg system generally contains a small amount of Mn, which can be strengthened by heat treatment.

It is characterized by high hardness but poor plasticity. Superhard aluminum belongs to Al-Cu-Mg-Zn system, which can be strengthened by heat treatment. It is a high strength aluminum alloy at room temperature, but it has poor corrosion resistance and quick softening at high temperature. Forged aluminum alloys are mainly Al-Zn-Mg-Si alloys. Although there are many kinds of elements added, the content of them is small, so they have excellent thermoplasticity and are suitable for forging. So they are also called forged aluminum alloys.

Aluminum tube is a kind of high strength hard aluminum, which can be heat treated and strengthened. It has moderate plasticity in annealing, hardening and hot state, good spot weldability and tendency to form intergranular cracks in gas welding and argon arc welding. The corrosion resistance is not high. Anodizing and painting methods or aluminum coating are often used to improve the corrosion resistance. It can also be used as mould material.

Aluminum tube advantages:

Four, the bending performance is excellent, easy to install and move.

5052 aluminum alloy belongs to the Al-Mg series alloy, which is widely used, especially in the construction industry. It is a promising alloy. Good corrosion resistance, good weldability, good cold workability and moderate strength. The main alloying element of 5052 aluminum alloy is magnesium. It has good formability, corrosion resistance, weldability and medium strength. It is used for making sheet metal parts of aircraft oil tank, oil tube, traffic vehicles and ships, instruments, street lamp brackets and rivets, hardware prodsucts, electric-appliance shell and so on.

Formability

The thermal process of the alloy has good plasticity. The forging and forging temperature is 420~475 degree C, and the thermal deformation of >80% is carried out in this temperature range.

(2) The cold stamping properties are related to the alloy state. The cold stamping properties of annealed (O) state are good, followed by H32 and H34 state, but not H36/H38 state.

Welding performance

(1) The properties of the alloy are good in gas welding, arc welding, resistance welding, spot welding and seam welding, and crystalline cracks tend to appear in the process of di-argon arc welding. The brazing performance is good, but the soldering performance is poor.

(2) the strength and plasticity of the weld are high, and the strength of the weld is 90%~95% of the base metal strength. But the air tightness of the weld is not high. It is recommended that 5A03 alloy be used as the welding material, which can improve the air tightness and eliminate the crack tendency.

Machinability

The annealing performance of the 5052 aluminum alloy tube is not good, while the cold hardening state is improved.
