6082 belongs to the 6000 series (Al-Mg-Si) aluminum alloy sheet. It is a kind of aluminum alloy sheet which can be strengthened by heat treatment. It has medium strength, good weldability and corrosion resistance. It is mainly used in transportation and structural engineering industry. Such as bridges, cranes, roof frames, transport planes, transport ships, etc.6082 aluminium alloy offers good machinability with excellent corrosion resistance. Available in bars, sheet, sheet and tube, the alloy is used in structural applications and is preferred to 6061 aluminum.6082 aluminum sheet sheet is used predominantly in highly stressed applications such as trusses, cranes and bridges.

The alloy offers excellent corrosion resistance and has replaced 6061 in many applications. The extruded finish is not as smooth and therefore not as aesthetically pleasing as other alloys in the 6000 series.The prodsuction technology of 6082 aluminum sheet´╝ÜThe first is smelting, 6082 aluminium alloy is characterized by Mn, Mn is a refractory metal, smelting temperature should be controlled at 740-760 degrees Celsius. The sample should be evenly stirred for more than two times before sampling to ensure that the metal is completely melted, the temperature is accurate and the composition is uniform.

After stirring, one sample is taken at the middle of the molten aluminum depth, the left and right sides of the furnace to analyze, and the converter is folded and qualified; secondly, in the purification and casting process, the melt is transferred to the static furnace, then powder injection and jet refining are carried out with nitrogen and refining agent, the refining temperature is 735-745 C, and the refining time is 15 minutes. After refining, the converter is left standing for 30 minutes. Through this process, remove gas, remove slag and purify melt. There are two filters between the casting mold and the furnace mouth. The furnace mouth has a foam ceramic filter sheet (30PPI) to filter. Before casting, 14 mesh fiberglass cloth is used to filter out the oxide and slag in the melt.
